Details:
Pay Rate $18/hour
Shift: So it will either be 2nd shift (Wednesday – Sunday 3pm-11pm) or 3rd Shift (Friday – Tuesday 11pm-7am)

Raise Recruitment (a division of Ian Martin Group) has partnered with a local agricultural company (ADM), and they are seeking to hire a Laboratory Technician in Decatur, Illinois
Position Summary:
Perform laboratory analysis on in-process and finished product samples to determine conformance to the specifications of quality and purity.
Job Responsibilities:
Follow all safety and environmental rules and regulations applicable to position
Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements
Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies
Perform all required lab tests adhering to detailed laboratory procedures
Physical testing of production samples
Daily verification of lab instruments
Recording, interpreting, and entering test results using a computerized data system
Maintain samples of tested product in order to confirm test results, when necessary
Maintains adequate supplies used for testing procedures and notifies the supervisor of the need to re-order such supplies
Continually compares test results with standards, as required, to insure that all products are within specification
Handle various chemicals in different containers in the manner outlined in the Safety Data Sheet provided by the manufacturer
Job Requirements:
Must be able to read/write/speak English, do basic arithmetic and write clearly
Ability to communicate with other employees in a clear and professional manner
Ability to work on multiple tasks and remain organized
Must have a willingness to learn and work on a team
Exhibit regular and timely attendance
Participates actively in training
Reports to work in a condition to be able to perform all duties
Practices proper personal hygiene
High School Diploma or GED required, Associates in an applied science preferred
Preferred analytical laboratory experience
Position requires basic computer operation skills, i.e. use of “point and click” programs, MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, OneNote), and different software programs for the instruments
Understands that accidents are preventable and that safety is everyone’s responsibility
Dedication to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.
Must be capable of working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly (ex. Moving a gas cylinder)
Ability to handle dangerous chemicals in a safe manner
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Summary
The College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking to hire a Laboratory Technician for the laboratory of Dr. W. Brad Hubbard.
The Technician will be responsible for small animal handling, care, and behavioral assays. The Technician will also perform experimental injury procedures in animal models. They will also have a role in project management and lab organization.
The Lab Technician will also assist in MRI scanning of animals and basic lab protocols, including brain processing and immunostaining techniques. The Technician will maintain supply and sample inventory, organize lab space, maintain safety documentation, manage chemical and biohazards.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for Laboratory functions that may include component production, labeling, maintenance of records, and data entry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Is responsible for bringing compliance issues to the attention of management.
Assures quality customer service to all customers.
Prepares all blood components including centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration. Assures product quality, volume, assay requirements, appearance and time requirements.
Maintains accurate records and computer entry for component production.
Performs receipt of freshly drawn units and samples, and unpacks, evaluates, and routes samples for accessioning.
Performs labeling of routine and special components and quarantine of unacceptable components.
Maintains equipment and work areas, as assigned.
Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
